KeyCorp
Impacts & Opportunities Assessment and CR Strategic Plan

keybank

KeyCorp (NYSE: KEY) is one of the largest bank-based financial services institutions in the country, with annual revenue of over $4 billion and assets over $90 billion. Key has a proud history of contributing to the communities it serves and demonstrating its commitment to responsible business practices.

Key engaged BrownFlynn to lead an assessment of its most significant impacts and opportunities. The assessment included extensive background research and peer benchmarking to identify potential topics of significance. Leveraging internal information sources, the Firm then led an exercise called Impact Mapping℠ to enable Key to identify impacts across its value chain where they typically occur, and pinpoint stakeholders to engage.

BrownFlynn led interviews and created surveys for both internal and external stakeholders. Through this engagement, stakeholders provided evidence for prioritizing topics of significant impact. After analyzing the results, BrownFlynn facilitated a workshop with executive leaders to validate the findings.

After validating results, Key engaged BrownFlynn to develop its first Corporate Responsibility Strategic Plan. Key will discuss the results of the Impacts & Opportunities Assessment within its next corporate responsibility report, which will conform to the Global Reporting Initiative G4 framework.
