Kelsey Aerni
Associate Consultant

Kelsey joined BrownFlynn as an Associate Consultant after earning her MBA in Sustainable Business Practices from Duquesne University. She has a passion for making the business case for sustainability, and enjoys the complexities that come with integrating sustainability into corporate strategy. She helps navigate clients through materiality assessments and the ever-changing world of ESG raters and rankers.
Prior to joining BrownFlynn, Kelsey worked in financial services consulting, where she saw a shift in the way corporate responsibility and performance were being defined and measured throughout the investment community. Her financial background combined with the sustainability consulting engagements during her MBA program gives her multiple perspectives, and allows Kelsey to holistically frame and solve complex sustainability challenges for organizations in a variety of industries.
When she is not busy sharing her enthusiasm about sustainability, you can find Kelsey contemplating what her next ‘hobby’ will be. For those who think candle making might be a good idea, wait until you have an entire kitchen covered in hot wax and you might think otherwise. If you want to make her laugh, she enjoys self-deprecating humor (as many Cleveland sports fans are good at). She is usually the only person who laughs at her own jokes, but that’s ok because what’s life without a little laughter?
