BrownFlynn is a member of the ABA’s Sustainable Development Task Force. ABA’s President established the Task Force to review and make recommendations on the involvement of the ABA in implementing sustainable development matters throughout the world. The Task Force developed a Resource Center aimed at supporting the legal field in understanding and engaging on global sustainable development initiatives. The ABA also published a Final Report (July 2015) outlining key accomplishments of the Task Force. The report contains recommendations regarding the involvement of the ABA in implementing sustainable development matters worldwide as required by the Policy and Procedures Handbook.
As an active member of AIAG, BrownFlynn has annually participated in AIAG’s Sustainability Summit and served as a facilitator for AIAG’s Sustainability Steering Committee. AIAG is a not-for-profit association where professionals from a diverse group of stakeholders—including retailers, suppliers, manufacturers, and government—work collaboratively to streamline industry processes via global standards development and aligned business practices.

BC CCC is a network of 400 member companies offering professional development, certificate programs, access to an online community of peers, research, best practice updates, and issue briefs to keep professionals apprised of the most important corporate citizenship issues.
BrownFlynn leverages its relationship with Bloomberg to obtain real-time data, news, and analytics to help our clients understand how investors view their ESG performance and how they compare to their peers. BrownFlynn serves on the Advisory Council for the Center for Safety & Health Sustainability, a non-profit organization established in June 2011 and committed to advancing the safety, health, and sustainability of the global workplace. As a member of the Advisory Council, BrownFlynn supports the organization’s efforts in providing over 100,000 occupational safety and health professionals in over 70 countries with a stronger voice in shaping sustainability policies. The Center recently released The Accounting Revolution and the New Sustainability – Implications for the OSH Professional (December 2015), a professional association’s global examination of the most material issues for the profession.
BrownFlynn is proud to partner with EcoVadis (the leader in sustainability ratings for supply chains) to bring training and consulting services to North American companies to optimize their response to the EcoVadis evaluation, and to improve their sustainability performance and practices. More than 25,000 companies use the EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment platform, which provides a rating and scorecard on corporate environmental, social/labor, and ethical practices. The partnership brings BrownFlynn’s expertise in corporate responsibility strategy and sustainability management, reporting, and program implementation to participating companies. The partnership will launch with BrownFlynn leading a series of training workshops aimed at increasing the sustainability capabilities of large corporate suppliers.

The purpose of the Model Guidance is to help exchanges address the current information gap by providing a model, or template, that exchanges can use to develop their own, custom guidance.

BrownFlynn Lights Up Times Square
Early in September 2017, BrownFlynn and Uplifting Leaders* (*Who Happen to Be Women), a book written by the firm’s Co-Founders Barb Brown and Margie Flynn, lit up the Nasdaq MarketSite Tower in Times Square. The book captures insights and stories of 25 of the nation’s most accomplished and influential women in business—including Adena Friedman, President and CEO of Nasdaq, on how they empower and uplift others as they seek to progress in their lives and careers. In recognition of BrownFlynn’s 20th anniversary, all net proceeds of the book will be donated to the YWCA Greater Cleveland to “uplift” and support the education of young women transitioning out of foster care.
