PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS
SELECTED CASE STUDIES:
CVS/PHARMACY
BrownFlynn works with CVS/pharmacy, the largest
retail pharmacy in the US, to establish and
enhance corporate-public partnerships,
maximizing both the business value and positive
effect upon the communities in which it
operates. CVS has built award-winning “public
purpose partnerships” with a multitude of
organizations across the country, combining
corporate social responsibility and employee
programs to address employee attraction and
retention challenges in the US.
The company works closely with federal, state,
and local agencies and community partners to
establish recruitment, placement, training, and
retention programs for thousands of individuals,
including the economically-disadvantaged and
mature workforce. Together with America's
Promise Alliance, CVS/pharmacy offers job skills
training and work experience, opening up new
employment opportunities for diverse job
seekers.
INVEST IN CHILDREN
Invest in Children engaged BrownFlynn in the
fall 2007 to ramp up its education and
mobilization efforts for the business, media,
nonprofit and foundation communities. Having
focused much of their outreach efforts on
educating Cuyahoga County families and residents
of the services available through Invest in
Children, the team realized the need to reach a
broader audience and establish itself with the
corporate community. Invest in Children provides
access to health care, preventative care and
insurance, resources and education for more than
65,000 children and families annually. Using the
power of this message, BrownFlynn partnered with
Invest in Children to develop succinct language
and materials for community engagement.
BrownFlynn, worked with Adcom to deliver
resources consistent with the Invest in Children
mission and values, and created a plan to engage
the business, nonprofit, foundation and media
sectors.
